Lloyds TSB automated phone system

Just wanted to share something I found out.
You know that horrible system that wants you to talk to a machine and enter all your details and then tells you off and it takes ages to get through to a human and you get irate and shout at the machine...?
(OK, maybe it's just me)
Well, a helpful young man (!) told me to just say "advisor".
It works like a dream. Straight through to a person. That's so much better for my blood pressure, and I feel quite well disposed towards them now.

I used their automatic system last Saturday. When I got through to the advisor she first of all thanked me for going through that system. The advisor then asked how I found it. I explained in my case it was great. Her reply "was I being sarcastic".0

Yes or just press *0Can I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)0

Can you say adviser right from the start of the call? Or do you have to keep pressing buttons and entering account numbers etc to get to a menu option?
I know that Lloyds TSB seem to avoid this option on their menu to the very end of listening to all the options first, that is really annoying it should be the first option given, but then I guess the volume of calls they will have to answer will go up.0 -
Cool just tested this. Yes you can just press *0. But have to listen to the important announcement at the beginning about security numbers. But as soon as she says Welcome to Lloyds TSB you can press *0
I'll remember that for next time0 -
I do most of may banking online and it is very reassuring that if I need to speak to Lloyds I will not go through to a foreign country.0
