Dishwasher power query

We are having a new dishwasher installed shortly and need to prep the kitchen for it - there's a power socket already installed and used for the cooker oven (dual fuel). Does there need to be another socket installed or is it OK to use a power strip instead.

When I've written it down the answer seems fairly obvious... :o but just want to check before doing anything.

Many thanks

I assume by power strip you mean a flat four - one socket into four? If the oven is on a single socket, get it changed to a two gang socket so you have seperate sockets for oven and dishwasher.
