Problems with Asda credit card

Hi there, I am new here and am having problems with my Asda credit card account. I'm wondering if anyone here has had something similar or has any opinions about my problems.
I'll start from the beginning... It might be irrelevant but I want to include as much information as possible.
My Asda credit card expired at the end of October. Before it expired, I received a letter from Asda/Santander saying they would not sent me another card because my account was in bad shape. Fair enough, the balance on my card was pretty high, and I had made one late payment. I wasn't too bothered about that, because I had stopped using the card anyway in order to reduce the debt. Anyway, a few weeks later, they sent me a card in my partner's name anyway! I had signed him up as an additional cardholder on my account when I first opened the account a few years back. Can't work out why they would send a card to him, despite it being on my bad account....
Anyway, a few weeks back, I found that I couldn't access my online account. A message kept coming up saying that I had not activated my account. I have been using the online account manager for years and nothing like this has ever happened. The card in my partner's name has been activated, so it was nothing to do with that. I have phoned the customer service helpline several times, but no-one seemed to know what was going on, and they kept telling me to call back. Finally, I called today and someone told me that the name and date of birth on my account is completely wrong, and that I need to call back again in 48 hours.
I really have no idea what is going on and it seems like Santander don't, either. It's particularly stressful because I signed up for no paper statements, meaning that as I cannot access the online account manager, I have no idea what my balance is or when the next payment is due...
It's all a big mess! Any ideas on what the hell is going on, or what I should do?!

ASDA portal can be a bit tricky with your PC's security system, so try turning security, such as Norton and MacAfee, off first. Then try using a different browser, too. They never worked correctly on IF before but always did with FireFox. They had a system upgrade today, so it maybe a similar situation as mine (they blocked my acc after me trying to log in.) The customer service agents are useless as hell, you must talk to managers to get even the very basic info, such as your account is being blocked. Keep trying! Good luck!0
