I think that the OP needs to go and think this though, the reason nobody has invented such a device is clear for all to see, except the OP. ;)

Like others cannot see why such a device is needed.

In my house we have 2 showers and 5 people, both showers can be used at the same time (both fed from tank) without any problems.

By the time they have finished the water has already been heating up ready for the next person, and so on.

Why you need an alarm to tell you this is beyond me.

Do people really only switch on an immersion heater when they need hot water in an hour or so ?

I thought that stopped many years ago ....

It would appear that the OP is one of those who do not want to be helped. I and several others have explained the principles of operation of an immersion heater and the OP has chosen to completely ignore what we have said. To answer a few of the ridiculous arguments of the OP in post no. 12
    1) Storing a well insulated tank of hot water will cost virtually nothing once it is hot.
    2) Amazingly enough insulation is intended to be able to be in a hot environment without damage.
    3) Running up the stairs to feel the tank would be pointless as the tank is so well insulated that you could not tell whether it is hot or merely lukewarm.
Like I said, some people either, don't want to be helped or are too stupid to know when they are being helped.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
