How do you keep your pets warm ?

The year my heating broke down I found the cat took matters into her own hands, commandeered the fireside rug and rolled herself up in it with only a head and tail sticking out of either end like some kind of cat swiss roll. Wish I'd got a picture of it, wish I knew how she'd manouvered herself to DO it to be honest - but she also takes matters into her own hands if she's cold and gets under the duvet in bed in these cases too.

My dogs do live with me on my farm. Just because they are ''farm'' dogs doesn't mean they are suited to the cold: grey hound doesn't have a collies coat (even if she can herd chickens like a pro) and even though she points she's not got the fat or density of coat of a pointer either. So I have her outisde being useful but all dressed up. She also sleeps inside, with her hairier chum, on a sofa.
