I need one but don't want to spend millions.
I do a fair amount of printing - so not too much ££ for cartridges - but don't need the scanner to be too high a resolution - only used for ocassional use.
Thanks in advance

Colour or B&W printing? If B&W then get a laser printer. Inkjets are useless/expensive especially if you print a fair bit. If you think you want colour, question do you really need it or could you get occasional colour printing done elsewhere?
Personally for home-use I very much like the Samsung range of laser printers as they are well built, cheap, reliable and have high yield and low toner costs with excellent print quality. They make some great all-in-one printers too. Check out the Samsung SCX-4600 (£120) and others in the same range e.g. SCX-4300 etc.

As per CNet's review of the Photosmart c5280 is highest rated all in one printer having all 3 functionalities that is scanner, copier and printer, in the under $200 price range. Although it has the tri-color ink tank that cuts down on overall print economy, it is also good product if you use it for home.
Another best all in one inkjet printer is Epison RX595, using six separate cartridges filled with high quality inks, so that when any color is empty, user needs to replace only that color and thus save money comparatively.0 -

I wanted to get an all in one printer last week after research, the one I came across was HP Officejet 7500A which happens to be an A3 printer as well it costs £139 plus vat from Viking direct which was the cheapest according to the price comparison websites once you add vat delivery etc. one other seller did cheaper than this but that was part of an HP offer see below. Now if you look at some of the coupon voucher websites you can find a voucher for either 15 or 20% (moneysupermarket.com) off Viking over £30 spend which essentially knocks the VAT off. If the voucher works this is now a great price. Even better HP at the moment are doing a cash back offer of £80 on this printer if you buy this printer with a full set of 3 colour plus black ink. So from Viking direct this would be £186.55 plus vat without any discounts. Cash back form can be found on HP website. In the end I brought the last all in one HP printer from Aldi which was on clearance so did not buy the 7500A. But assuming all offers go through it would be a good printer at a fantastic price. Just check terms and conditions for the offers in case I went wrong somewhere. Hope this helps someone.
