I'm surprised to see B&Q so high up on that list.. their website is utter, utter pants!

Some interesting ones. Tesco way ahead of Asda. EasyJet way ahead of Ryan Air (and both way ahead of BA). New Look beating Top Shop. No Primark.

But yes, Amazon have done very well. Everyone said at the beginning when the big established players join the online market Amazon will be blasted out of the water. But it hasn't happened.

Would be interesting to see the list by volumne of sales. I often go to Amazon to benchmark a price, rather than necessarily buy from there. I wonder if they would still win in terms of sales.

Primark's website is utter crap. Which, admittedly, is a blessing in disguise. I don't want to even imagine the state of my wardrobe if I were able to order Primark clothes online. I'm bad enough going to the bricks & mortar stores :P

Amazon have got savvy and expanded out from their 'books and CDs' base - that stuff's still there, but now it's alongside toys and homewares and clothes (to an extent), meaning that in theory you'd only ever need to shop in one place.

The downside to that of course being that smaller non-online retailers, particularly jewellers and toy shops, are taking the hit...

seriously that list must have been made by people with too much money the top spotters are not best value at all nor are they quick or offer good customer service, amazon infact have no customer service cant even figure out how to complain or how you d return as the delivery note has no instructions what so ever and the tiniest writing I have ever seen.

I guess you don't actually buy anything from eBay - you just buy things through eBay.

That's funny, I find amazon brilliant. I sent in a query about a product I bought and some actually phoned me with 1 hour of me sending it in. If you want to know how to get a refund or exchange all you need to do is look at your orders in your account, it's all there in black and white
