Car Accident, my fault, write off advice?

Hi all
I drove into the back of someone last week and it looks likely that the insurance company will decide not to repair my car after £2000 worth of damage.
My question is does any one have any advice reference the settlement they offer me, is there any website I can use to get a valuation of my car to see how much its worth. Also will they take my excess off my settlement and the remaining months insurance I had left to pay?
Thanks for your help

Why don't you wait for the offer first?
Some people are very happy with the settlement in which case there's no need to worry.
Excess will be deducted.
The remainining payment might be deducted or your insurer might let you put your next car on the insurance and they may even let you suspend the insurance whilst you shop around so the cover isn't being used up whilst you're off the road. You would need to ask them as different companies have different policies.
Someone might know if you state the insurer.0 -
Thanks for your reply I just wanted to be as prepared as possible.

I think I used Parkers Online to check the value when I wrote off my car.0
