Overdraft Review Date

Like a lot of people, I am slowly trying to reduce my overdraft however its review date is coming up in Jan (Lloyds TSB) and as much as I would like it to start reducing by £100 per month until I no longer need it (Limit is £1000), I dont think I could afford it if Lloyds decided to withdraw the facility completely on the review date.
Is it true that if I call them and ask them to reduce it slightly, say from £1000 to £900 that it will move the review date back?
