Not getting any nearer with this one, have searched everywhere & Hostelbookers have not replied to my FB post so at this moment in time I am sticking with my initial thoughts of Mexico, ponche is their traditional christmas drink & their christmas does last for 9 days until christmas eve but starts on the 16th NOT the 15th but there is nowhere I can find that celebrates from the 15th although it would seem odd to me that they would end their celebrations the day BEFORE christmas evePositivity is the key to success0

Hi guys, sorry about the above, it is meant to say 16th, so in what country do they drink ponche, begin Christmas celebrations on 16th December (today) and finish 9 days later?
Only just seen all the above posts but saw the above on their FB
Liz, I think you are right with Mexico! : )

I think its Mexico but Venezuala and Phillipines both have the same tradition0
-
Very true, but I'd go with Mexico as google wise they seem to have more of a lion share of the hits if you put in: Xmas, Ponche and December 16th
I think it would, however, be churlish of the FB group to reject the other countries. I suspect they didn't realise Mexico wasn't unique!0 -
Venezuela drinks ponche crema for Christmas, which is exactly the same but we call it like that, if you call it only ponche in Venezuela you mean a drink made of rice . But who know what they decide,Thanks to those who help us to win !0

I definitely think Mexico as other countries have a version of ponche but there is always another word after it. The vast majority of websites I found mentioned it as a traditional Mexican drink http://lesleytellez.wordpress.com/2010/12/13/how-to-make-ponche-the-traditional-mexican-christmas-punch/Positivity is the key to success0

Day 17 and it's TREASURE HUNT time! Your aim: to name the HOSTEL from HostelBookers' website.
Clue 1: One of the few countries in the world where the sea is not blue (that'll be the Red Sea)
Clue 2: One of the seven wonders of the world is close to this city (Great Pyramids of Giza so possibly Cairo)Positivity is the key to success0 -

I was thinking Cairo for this one!
I see you have to copy the daily question into the email subject, but I can't see an actual question, only the clues. Am I missing something?0 -
What about Yellow Sea and the Great Wall?
