Massive Paypal problem urgent help required

Hiya my name is matt,
the story goes:-
I sold a £370 item on ebay,
sent to the buyers paypal registered address.
No problems unti laprox 2.5 months later when i recieved a chargeback case ( the £370 was immediatley taken from my PP acc Which left it in a negative balance).
I phoned paypal straight away to dispute this, they said to just upload the tracking number you will be fine and should win the case.
i thought ok, and did that straight away the same day..
About 1 month later i recieve an email saying that the tracking number is not enough please upload Proof Of Posting(pop).
Due to building works on my house this has been mislaid at the moment so could not provide the proof of posting even though the tracking number gives a chronological global movment of the package and the recipent who received it (although the was no Elctronic signature).
As this is no mounting to over £400 with ebay+PP charges paid and chargeback settlement fees, I deceided to phone Parcelforce to have them send me the proof of where it was delivered.
What comes next angered me so much:mad::mad::mad:
Parcelforce proceeded to tell me as i have phoned up just outside of
3 months after i posted the paarcel, the information i was seeking was no longer available due to it being deleted off the databse (this is standard for all transactions
It jsut seems odd that the credit card issuer only asked for P.O.P
just after the 3 month parcel force deadline ??
Eventually the CC company sided with the buyer.
11/11/10 case closed
14/11/10 counter claim received from credit card issuer
I phoned PP to ask what this was, I was told that pp were reviewing the case as i had lost the initial chargeback ??
i am in dire straits over this i cant sleep, i have lost so much weight i need real assistance on this, i only sold the damn thing to pay for xmas presents, so clearly i do not have that kind of cash..
Many thanks in advance for your help...:A:A
once agian,
Many thanks,
All the best,
Matt

I would carry on arguing with paypal even though their rules are actually quite clear, they will sometimes back down on this.
However the rules are that for a chargeback for INR only proof of delivery is required. But for a chargeback for fraudulent use of a card only the proof of posting is needed, that's why keeping POPs for 180 days is so very vital.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. what is buyer saying after 3 months exactly?0

Whenever I've had credit card chargebacks I've always contacted the buyer and asked if there was a problem with the transaction. Each time the buyers have responded and assisted in resolving it. One I had recently was where the buyer's bank had reversed every transaction despite the buyer only having an issue with certain transactions (the card had been cloned I think).
It might be worth doing this. If you're certain you've mislaid the pop, rather than thrown it away, I would also keep looking for it.0 -
Just to say that according to paypal rules proof of delivery will also be sufficient for fraudelant use. I would continue to phone and point out their rules to them,I would carry on arguing with paypal even though their rules are actually quite clear, they will sometimes back down on this.

Online or physical documentation from a postal company that includes all of the following:- A status of “shipped” (or equivalent) and the date of postage
- The recipient’s address, showing at least the city/county or postcode (or international equivalent).
- Official acceptance from the shipping company (for example, a postmark, a receipt, or online tracking information). Or, if you have Proof of Delivery then you do not need Proof of Postage.
