How many copies of marriage certificate?

We're getting three - one will go with us on honeymoon the next day, as we need to show it for the honeymoon perks! Then i will leave two with Mum to look after til we get back. Maybe being over cautious but thats just me!!

I only have one, I took it to lloyds TSB when I told them my name change, they did a load of photocopies on big paper and signed the bottom of them, DVLA took one without any problems.

I only got one, the banks took their copies from my original and when I changed my old works pension I sent it recorded delivery and they sent it back recorded delivery. I did copies myself for credit cards etc that needed to see my certificate but not the original, on the scanner and have saved the file.

For weddings at which I officiate (C of E) I advise having two certificates. One to use and one to put safely away. Always possible to get more later but they are half price if done on the day!
