joint accounts

Hi new to this place.... how do I remove myself from our joint account? hubby & me that is....


Also can I transfer my ISA over to him, in his name I mean?

    As far as I am aware in order to take yourself off a joint account, all you need to do is write a letter to the bank requesting this (with all the relevant account information). You and your husband both need to sign the letter. Then your name should be removed by the bank.
    As for the ISA i have no idea-sorry.

    Re. your ISA I dont think you can transfer it over. You could withdraw the funds and put them in his name providing he hasnt reached this years threshold but I dont think you can physically change the name to his. Re. joint account, as the other post said, both names need to sign and you just write to them asking them to remove it. Some banks have a standard change of name form where you can remove one account holder. Just give your bank a phone and they will tell you the best way to go about it.

    No, because an ISA is linked to your tax records and tax allowances, you can't transfer it to someone else. Why on earth would you want to do this anyway? Don't you want to have some savings of your own?
