What type of home and contents insurance if I have lodgers?

Hi,
I own a house that I live in, with 2 other lodgers.
What type of buildings and contents insurance should I be looking for?
I think that I should be getting landlords insurance seeing as I let out 2 of the rooms. But on the flip side, since I also live in the property then I don't think I'd be eligible for landlord's insurance.
Can anyone please clarify?
Thanks

Ask your current insurance company. Actually don't in case they see an opportunity to hike the current premium too far. Get a quote for all alternatives from another company then at least you can see the variation before discussing it with your own.

Hi
I currently have 1 lodger and have insurance with Direct Line. Quite a few insurers refuse to cover a lodger but I have also had a policy with Norwich Union (sorry but i have forgotten their new name). They allow up to 4 lodgers. Direct Line doesn't charge extra but if you have a theft with no obvious sign of a break in, they assume that the lodger is responsible!
The ones who refused me (eg. Sainsbury's) were ones which i had not previously used. i'm curious to know if the answer would have been different if I had been renewing.0
