Sky TV affected by change of homephone?

Hi all,
I haven't found an answer to my question anywhere, which seems to suggest it's a stupid one, but here we go anyway!
Our home phone bill is pretty high every month. I've looked at the various deals for landlines (deals in this week's mse email) and worked out we would save a significant amount by changing our home phone provider from BT to Plusnet. The question I have is would this affect our Sky TV in any way? I'm not quite sure why it should, but I thought I read this somewhere before and now can't find any info on this.
Any pointers would be much appreciated! Many thanks.

If you have had Sky TV for over a year you do not need to keep the phoneline connected. The change of provider shouldn't make a difference.0

Thanks. I guess I will do that just to make sure, but thought I'd ask you clever people here first as I dread having to phone Sky. Their customer service is usually shocking and the shortest time I've ever been on hold is 12 mins, usually it's been around 25 mins. :eek:0 -

We've had the setup (i.e. dish, box etc) for over 5 years, but cancelled subscription for a while, signed up again earlier in the year and are still tied into a contract at the moment.0 -
To be honest, it doesn't matter what phone provider you have. It won't have any effect on your Sky TV.Dave. :wave:0
