After days of searching various websites, google etc i still cannot find a reasonable price for a Ferry to Ireland.
I am looking to go next week sailing from either Pembrook/Fishguard to Rosslare or Holyhead/Liverpool to Dublin .
Can anyone help me out with an offer code ?
Many Thanks

The simple fact is Irish Ferries and Stena operate a cartel on the Irish Sea and whilst Stena occasionally have offer codes the prices of the two ferry companies are identical and have been for years.
There is a new service running from Swansea to Cork but that's even more expensive and much slower - on top of the fare for car and passengers you also HAVE to purchase a cabin or even a seat, even if you're a foot passenger and offer to sit on the floor. Of course, it's an Irish company which is probably indicative of why their country is in such a mess.0 -
I've tended to cheat when I've been to Ireland and booked my ferry in with the cost of the price of the accomadation with the company I stay with over there (that I've probably spelled wrong). Apparently you can use tescos vouchers? Someone was telling me at the port there. The Very Right Honourable Lady Tarry of the Alphabetty thread-I just love finding bargains and saving moneyI love to travel as much as I can when I canLife has a way to test you, it's how you deal with this that matters0

Many thanks to you all for your help :money:0 -
Yes,….. until two years ago Stena (& Irish Ferries) gave you 4 times the value of any advertised/online-price with Tesco Tokens.
Now...................
(1)Tesco & said companies have reduced this factor to 3-times.
(2)Both companies simultaneously decided to invent a secret price list (The notional and fictional “real fare”) for Tesco customers only.
Everyone else pays “promotional fares”.
So the Tesco fare is artificially raised higher, than all other customers, before the 3-times reduction is given.
Thus the Tesco tokens have been virtually halved in value.
It is a scam, and a scam done in flagrant collusion between this duopoly.
And terms like “promotional fare” are used routinely in a misleading way.
It is, in fact, impossible to go on their sites and find (or book) the “real”, (fictional) fares! All fares are “promotions!!!
The only “real fares” are a secret......to hit Tesco customers with.
Why Fair Trading, Trades Descriptions or the ASA don’t put a stop to this abuse I don’t know.
I protested to Tescos who just didn'y care at all.0
