HELP! Swiftcover Angel care policy

I am really looking for a bit of advice to put my mind at rest. I have my car insured by Swift - the online car insurance company. They were great until another car bumped me. I tried to put a claim through for the panel to be repaired. They transfered me over to Angelcare and told me it would all be fine and sorted out. Nearly two years down the line, I now have a huge repair & car hire bill of nearly 2K and a court date looming for January. I'm beside myself. Apparently I have an insurance policy in place to cover me, but to be honest, I can't remember a thing about when the car hit me. It was so long ago and now they are wanting me to stand up in court & give details.

Are you being taken to court for not paying the bill or as a witness because they are taking the person that bumped you to court?

Sorry I didn't make myself very clear. We're going to court because the guy who bumped my car is denying all knowledge of it, even though I saw it happen. The insurance company are taking his insurance company to court to work it out.

Never been involved in a court case, (except on a jury and that was a joke) but you need to talk the the legal people running the case for you/swift cover. They should have the original statements that you made. Also start by writing down what you do remember. Where was the bump which direction were you travelling what was he doing.
