just a thought but why don't you send them a PM to ensure they see your message. I know people have PM'd me questions & offered help via PM's so I am sure they won't mind - quite a friendly bunch here!0

Hi,
I live in Wymondham. We used to live there 16 years ago, then moved away. We moved back there for the High School; although it is currently rated by Ofsted as 'acceptable' it is definitely on the way up. It is now under the guidance of a fantastic headteacher who is making improvements in every way. Our kids didn't go to the infant or junior schools so I can't comment on them. Because of the High School, plus it is close to the A11 (as big as a road gets in Norfolk!), and the police headquarters are there and it is close to the hospital, it does have higher house prices than a lot of Norfolk.
Generally the area is good - there are the usual 'youths' hanging around at times but it does retain a sense of community even though it is big now. The town centre is quaint but has a much higher proportion of charity shops and takeaways than it should.
The housing stock in Wymondham is on the whole a bit depressing imho - lots of 1970s bungalows and houses. There are nice bits too though, and two new estates are currently being built. Parking seems to be a problem everywhere and it is quite unusual to get a garage next to your house lol. We are about to exchange on a house in Wymondham this week.
If you are interested in Wymondham College (a state day/boarding school) which has a top reputation then you mustn't buy in Wymondham Town as you will not get a place. It doesn't have a catchment area as such but if you want to get in you need to live in Morley or very close by, or fit their other requirements.
I hope "Wymondham" agrees with what I have said! Any further info just let me know.
Hope this helps,
Em
PS Where are you moving from?0
