For DLA he would need to have had the problem for 3 months and for it to be expected to last for at least another 6 months so doubt it could be claimed for a fracture.
Could he claim for his other issues?0 -
To qualify in the first instance this is what it says...
You may be able to get Disability Living Allowance if you are under 65 and have needed supervision or help with personal care. You may also be able to claim if you have had walking difficulties because of a physical or mental disability. This must have lasted for three months and you are likely to need this help or have these difficulties for at least another six months.#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

DH is claiming ESA for long term illness We never claimed Disability Allowance as nobody told us about it.
In the last few weeks DH has broken his foot and we'll know on Friday whether it requires surgery or continue to be in plaster for another 6-8 weeks. He's been told to put no weight down so basically he is totally confined to the house and I am doing everything. Could we claim Disability allowance for this (bearing in mind he is on ESA for something else?)
Are you taking the pi55?
since when has having a broken foot been a disability?
As for being stuck in the house have you heard of a wheelchair, the red cross will lend you one for a donation.0 -
