Safari not working :(

Hi All

Have had a Mac OS x 10.6.4 for a couple of months now which has Safari 5.0.02 everything has been great and been finding my way round after being on windows forever. However my safari has stopped working, at best its very very slow but generally doesn't load at all.

Have tried resetting, clearing cache and plug ins. Also found a old thread on here which recommended dragging a safari plist to my desktop which ive done which hasn't helped at all. Have downloaded all the latest software updates and now at my wits end.

Can anyone help, please?

  • Try running software update (from the Apple logo top left) to update Safari (now at v5.0.3) and the OS update (now at 10.6.5).
    Then repair permissions, use disk utility in the Utilities directory. See how that goes.
