It was genuine, and I missed the previous answer. Mea culpa.0

As of today 117 MP's have signed the EDM, which by EDM standards is very good. I must say that using the EDM has proven to be a good tool to get the message out there and this forum has certainly done that with over 21k views.
The battle however is far from over and to that end don't forget the Rally and Lobby in London on the 1st March and the TUC rally on the 26th March......The battle has really now only just begun. Legal challenges will ensue, I am sure of that. Especially when many private pensioners or public pensioners see their income falling drastically as inflation rises, then I am sure they will be motivated to take further action.
Don't forget to spread the word and remember many of you will have a vote soon at the Local Elections on May 5th, where I am sure you will show your feelings.0 -

Don't need it when I have your intoxicating wit & repartee to look forward to - anyway, your mate teacher retired seems to think I've been a great help to your cause.0 -

Indeed it is your very personal and insulting style which has angered and thus motivated the many calm quiet members of the public sector out there. This has made them aware of what is going on and wish to take action. I am not sure if helping the public sector to motivate themselves was what you were after but that is bye the bye it is what you have acheived by your chosen style so well done.0 -
Other effects:
CETVs are used for pension sharing on divorce - people contemplating sharing final salary pensions who have been updating initial CETVs for further court hearings are reporting massive " overnight" drops in CETV offers recalculated using CPI.0 -
Following the brief reprieve to report progress on EDM1032, the Slap and Bendy show will recommence shortly.
However, before returning to your seats for the background entertainment, some interesting news "Inflation figures were wrong says Bank of England":

However they now become very much a side show as with people now very much aware of what is going on the issue moves to the next stage
The government are not talking - they are in dictatorial mood. Well we've been here many times before It is now that the trade unions commence their work. In the past on many occasions membership pressure makes governments stop and talk. I suspect this is what will happen here.
As has been pointed out on these posts I am retired and thus in a much weaker position to do anything but I do wish all those in work well in their efforts. I will be supporting where I can.
If the slap and bendy show move into adopting an anti union line we wiill know things are progressing well.0 -

Hello Old Slaphead
I'm still baffled when you stated that LGPS are not self funded. All research that I have done says they are. How are they funded?0
