Looking for international geographic numbers that work with SIP

Hello,
I am currently in the process of setting up a complete VoIP solution for my home and business. As part of this, I would like to set up a number of virtual numbers in different countries, that can be called as local calls from the people in those countries, but that I can divert to my main line here in the UK, or to my mobile if and when I go abroad.
I have found a few companies providing such services, but there are mainly US numbers, yet what I really want are European numbers. Also, as said above, standard geographic numbers (so the equivelent of 01 and 02 numbers e.g a +31 20 number for Amsterdam, Netherlands).
I'd obviously prefer it if the number were free, even if it requires a 'minimum usage' that is fine, but otherwise a small monthly fee is acceptable provided it has online management for the divert and call logs, etc. Also, I must be able to configure it to work with SIP (so it should come with username and password, etc) so I can configure it to work with the computer setup that I have. I do not want per minute billing, as this would work out expensive in the long run and is also difficult to manage spending.
I don't mind where the company is located, paying by credit card takes care of that, just as long as it's not another voipcheap or Skype.
Sorry if this has gone on a bit, but I hope I managed to explain clearly enough what I'm looking for. I really do appreciate any help anyone can offer.
Thanks.
Hussein.

I doubt that you'd be able to find free ones all from one supplier, but maybe from £3 a month per number, or set up accounts with several suppliers of free numbers.
You might look at Voxbone, which seems to be a wholesale supplier to other providers as well as direct. Voipfone has numbers too.
For other ideas, you might browse on Sipbroker and Voxalot, or look at various virtual pbx operations like pbxes, easypabx
Using Sipbroker's access numbers in several countries means that people would be able to call to your SIP account. It might be ok to get friends to use callthrough like this, but explaining it for business use might be problematic.
I've seen a page somewhere of VoIP providers in various countries that will give you a free DID with their account (eg an Italian one with Rome, Milan and Turin), and I'm trying to remember where it was. You'd then have to have several accounts registered on your ATA or perhaps point them all at Voxalot
ok, I found the Italian ones, but not the whole list

Do some Google searching ...
And try Voxilla forums, that I've only just started on
- and it might be worth asking to have this moved to the Phones Board0 -
Hello and thanks for that. I had looked at Google before posting here, maybe my search terms were too general
"free SIP netherlands geographic number inbound"
Having account with seperate providers is OK, if they all offer the same functionality. I'm a bit concerned with vobxone, as they don't specifically say that they offer SIP access, instead of just a divert to a number, and I need to be able to configure the account with username and password on the phone system I'm using with the computer.
I'll have another look, and I guess £5.50 to set up and then £5.50 a month for voxbone if they do offer theSIP is not bad.
By all means put this in the phones forum if you feel it relevant there. wasn't sure as it's not related to home phones or internet access.
Thanks.
