new driver, first car

hi all,

doing some research for my (17 yr old) neice and wondered what cars tend to be cheapest to insure for first time driver (make and model rather than engine size)

    Suggest you have a trawl through all of the posts on here first relating to 17 year old/young drivers so you get an idea of basic prices which depend on postcode amongst other things.

    Then have a look at Parkers for an indication of groups. Go to a broker for quotes as they often have access to insurers not available via screenscrapers.
