I have had a few probs with my system but NOW, when I do a search, say for *.TXT the search results come up with some files in
\My Documents but when I look to the root of
\ the folder isn't there.
I have already done the following and this hasn't helped.
Where do I go from here?
I have already done the following and this hasn't helped.
START > RUN > REGEDIT >
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / Software / Microsoft / Windows / Current Version / Explorer / DocFolderPaths
Once you click the DocFolderPaths folder you should see all the user's folders.
STEP 2:
Add a new string value
Value Name: your user name
Value Data: the path to your docs folder ( ex. C:\Documents and Settings\your docs folder )
Exit Registry editor and open my computer, your docs folder should now be visable.
Where do I go from here?

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

I dont know why you are editing registry just to change target of my documents when you can simply do this.0

'Sokay, it seems.
Made another folder and transferred the rogue files into that and renamed it.
Appears OK now."Unhappiness is not knowing what we want, and killing ourselves to get it."Post Count: 4,111 Thanked 3,111 Times in 1,111 Posts (Actual figures as they once were))Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.0
