Parcel2Go could not be bothered - BEWARE!

Options
'Can't be bothered' should be their motto! Excuse me while I have a rant. I wanted to send a parcel last Friday to be delivered on Saturday so I paid £24 to do so on Parcel2Go and I think that's a handsome amount. Apparently it doesn't get you much of a guarantee. Parcel2Go didn't even try to deliver it on Saturday! The parcel was all labelled up with the proper address (cross checked on Royal Mail's site) and the phone number was on it too. Guess what Parcel2Go said? They couldn't guarantee Saturday delivery even though I paid for the priviledge and I am not entitled to any sort of refund. BUT that's not all. The parcel was not delivered on Monday or Tuesday. The difficulty is, how do you complain about the poor service and failures? I have sent umpteen emails and made literally DOZENS of phone calls to them - each time they promise to sort it out and phone me back. Do they? No...can't be bothered. Can't be bothered either that the parcel containing something valuable is undelivered. So, I can't leave it in their tender loving care (hahaha) so I have asked for the parcel to be sent back to me. But they can't be bothered to return it to me before the end of the week. I left negative feedback on their website (which is about the only way of registering my disgust and warning other people) and, guess what folks?, it hasn't been displayed. Only nice things get put on the feedback page. If I were you, planning to send things for Christmas delivery, steer away from Parcel2Go. You think you are improving on Royal Mail by picking something you can track etc., but you have no more rights to complain. They couldn't find their  with both hands, folks. Their customer service is

    1st breath
2nd paragraphs, why is it people think a big block of text is the way to get responses?
parcel2go are just booking agents,as such this limits their control and your scope for complaint.
does the Saturday option state it isnt guaranteed?

Now I've lost all sympathy for you. Someone gives you advice as to how to make your complaint more effective and that's how you reply.
  • That wasn't advice!!! An ex-postie wanted to tell me not to expect a delivery on time....hahahaha! Royal Mail have a history of failing to meet deadlines so it was only to be expected that he would defend sloppy deadlines! You are not even guaranteed delivery with a first class recorded delivery any more!

    deary me.
too inept to even read a coherent sentence?
what you think the post says, and what it says are two different things.

if thats the quality of your communication skills, then I can see why Parcel2go have decided your not worth their time.

Please try to keep up! If you are going to take the intellectual high ground, at least spell things correctly!

Parcel2Go have received criticism from many customers if you search other forums. There are many other people equally dissatisfied with their service. Their duty to their customer does not end with processing payment and directing the booking to a courier company. If the delivery does not take place as arranged, it is Parcel2Go's duty to intervene. Don't you think so? Parcel2Go does not want to know. Customers have no effective telephone contact. The LiveChat is a joke. At a time of the year when most people are sending out parcels to loved ones, I think it is relevant to mention that a well-known service is so very poor on customer service. Their feedback does not bear this out.

    still no paragraphs,
    still with the rant
    still not reading my posts
enjoy your rant and no refund thumb.gif
  • This thread concerns Parcel2Go and their poor customer service. For some reason you are only interested in grammar, punctuation and syntax. I find this rather odd. If anything, I would say that you seem to defend their service and I must conclude that this is because you worked for an equally inefficient organization - the Post Office.
