how do sellers send their bulk items?

When I sell 10 - 20 items a day, I usually have to travel to the post office everyday which is 20 minutes away from my home and wait for a queue which can take up to half an hr. I really can't be bothered to do this. Is there service available that will make it easier sending bulk items?

I print all my postage at home - using the royal mail website & then just pop into the PO to drop them all off.

Be careful though as you then have no proof of postage and that is difficult when making a claim from the RM for loss. Personally my postal service is just poor enough for me not to risk not having COPs, as I do need to make a few claims every year. It's not so bad now, about 1 in 300 go astray, but it is enough to make me cautious.

you can have the postman come pick the parcels up, you print even a COP, my friend does this but am unsure whether she will help me out!!

Spend over £5k a year and open an account. It will save you a bit of money too as it is average weight they use. This if you sell 5 items at 1.5kg you will gat one that is over 2kg at the same price. I think you also save 10p per item which is I guess the cut to the Post Office. Only downside is you have a fair bit of paper work.
90% of my items go via Special Delivery so you only need to send around 3 items per day (@ £5.70 each to make it work)0 -
i dont know hoe wel yo uknow your local postmaster but i take mine to him and leave them for him to do in his own time then either go back later that day to pay or pay the next time i go to the post office. saves waiting in long lines and then waiting again to process the postage for it all. he just sends them off and keeps the receipts for me to pay later.
