These guys have disappeared! I can't get through on the phone and their website has disappeared.
Does anyone have any idea where they have gone? I am still waiting for a response to my appeal (approx £320!).
Thanks.
p.s. (Amateurs...grrrrr).

Sounds like you were clamped and paid. There was never any chance of an appeal being upheld. I would suggest that you give more details, get pics of the site and any signs as you will have to sue the landowner to ever have a chance of getting your money back.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

It seems they are about to be stuck off! Looks like as PtP says go after the landowner.

Seconded, if you want your money back the only hope is suing the landowner/retailer (basically whoever contracted the parasite clampers to infest that site is jointly and severally liable).
Post about your case with a pic of the clamping receipt, on pepipoo forums:

If there are still signs up at the car park get back there on foot and take photos of the their position and wording very quickly before they are removed, you will need this as evidence.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hello
I did take pictures and have enough evidence for an appeal. The clamper said that I had to pay as the tow-truck was on the way. He said that if I wrote and appealed then I should get most of my money back as a couple of other women who were clamped in the same spot got their money back on appeal.
The company (where I parked) has gone into liquidation (small independant) so litigation may not be possible.
Coupon-mad: Thanks for the pepipo link! Definitely a site worth bookmarking.
These people are worms. I was incredibly vulnerable at that time (I will not go into the details but it involved a child) and they just spun me a big fat line.
Thanks.0 -

thanks esmerobbo, just looked them up on credit gate:

This is why we always say sue both the clamper and landowner jointly, when (not if) the clamper folds you can always get at the landowner.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Who said anything about an appeal? That would be pointless, the clamper was lying.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Contact Companies House and tell them you have a pending claim, they should delay the striking off.
You will still need to go after the party that contracted with the clampers 'jointly and severally'.0 -

Absolutely correct.
A clamping company that owes me a great deal of money, further to a Court Order, tried to 'voluntarily wind-up'. Companies House accepted my application to prevent dissolution and regularly renewed the postponement at my request. The gentlemen continue to trade, of course, under a different name.
Very difficult to sue a dissolved company! Even more difficult to get your money......0 -
Anecdotally I had a brush with HFH. I saw the clampers who had assaulted my son etc (not HFH) busy in a car park. I waited at the entrance with a view to following them, but they saw me. Promptly an HFH truck arrived, the driver intimidating us and threatening violence when he saw my camera. These are the pics I took.
1. HFH Arrives 2. Other clampers escape.
