Jersey Holidays

Hi all,
We're considering getting the ferry over to Jersey next year for a week, maybe 10 days holiday.
I can't seem to see any travel agents (online) that do these as package holidays unless you fly, which the wife can't/won't do, although we haven't as yet asked in any of the high street agents to see whether they do them.
Anyone got any recommendations/suggestions?
Cheers,
JR

There are lots of companies, Jersey Travel Service, Prestons Travel and Condor, the operators of the ferries themselves, who offer holidays by sea. I love the islands, but they are no longer cheap and it is just plain awkward to get to Weymouth or Poole where the ferries operator from so I always fly. You may not always save money booking a package but for the Channel Islands, many people much prefer the security of a package than doing it themselves. The one great advantage sea has over air is that you are less likely to get caught by the fog that descends from time to time and closes the airports down. The fast ferries, 3 hours or so, are much better than the slow and small old ferry from Portsmouth, I hope you enjoy your holiday0

there are normally good deals in the daily mail /mail on sunday for jersey but booking on your own is no big deal
One thing you might want to consider though is parking is /can be a nightmare in jersey with you having to buy scratchcard and display them to park although parking is really cheap it can be awkard if your not prepared for it so buy the scratch card when you leave are in the ferry terminal or pick a place with parking if possible
I go there regulary to jersey its so nice and pretty i generally fly with flybe but the ferry can be really good deal if you get a good price condor ferries do lots of packages includling the car but you might find it cheaper though to book as foot passengers around and then hire a car once you are there depending on where you are staying
for hotels i stayed at the Pomme dor which is great location right in the center of st helier 2 mins from the shops ect and only a few mins walk from the ferry terminal
also the raddison blue which has a swimming pool ( which dose have parking ) is really nice
if you get to Guernsey and stay over the the st pier park is nice hotel as well also if you book direct with hotels own websites its generally cheaper0 -
We went to Jersey in April. We went to our local travel agent, a member of Advantage Travel, and they found a good deal for us by ferry. Admittedly we just wanted to go by sea because we love to travel that way when we can, we did not take our car. We had a wonderful time and our one regret was that we did not take our push bikes. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
