Have you ever spent points there?? Could be the staff??
Really someone should be able to trace the transaction???

Better go spend my points before someone else does!! How do you do it in argos?

I have never redeemed points anywhere other than Sainsburys.

I was saving all the points so that I could buy one expensive item, rather than using them as they appear.
  • Before xmas I redeemed nectar points for an amazon gift voucher- then bought a gift and had it sent to a friend as a xmas gift. sounds easy BUT my amazon account was then hacked into and 3 i-phones purchased using my credit card(the 1 click system is too easy) and a new name address phone number
and expedited delivery to a new address added. I only spotted it because of an automatic email to my email account arrived informing me of the purchases.
I immediately cancelled the purchase my credit card informed Amazon and the police. Because nothing was stolen nothing was done- even though the name address and phone number of the thief was righth there on the order- also the address was 1 mile from the police station in Newham!
was it a coincidence that it all happened after using my nectar cards or amazon has a big hole in its security? I suggested that any orders with a different IP address should be confirmed or stopped but Amazon phoned from the Philippines and said it was my fault!!! nothing done - so I do not use nectar points nor amazon any more!
  • I have recently had over 19000 Nectar points taken from my card. They were used at Argos on three seperate occasions. Apparently I have had over 32000 points taken over the last 2 years according to Nectar.
Nectar denied that fraud was possible.
I sent my card to Nectar to prove that someone else is using my card. They (Nectar) are in receipt of it, I have the Recorded Delivery signature to prove it, yet still my card is being used??!!
I have had long discussions with Nectar, but they are refusing to refund my points as they say FRAUD IS IMPOSSIBLE!

I have contacted Watchdog with my story and am trying to find others with a similar problem. I have seen other postings on here, but need you to contact me.

We need to stop this from happening to any one else.

Hmm, I think the same thing has happened to me. I redeemed 1,000 points in Argos yesterday (receipt shows Nectar card points -£5). I received an email from Nectar today saying that my Nectar points balance is showing as a negative value, due to an issue in Argos where 1,000 points were deducted 3 times.

I logged into my Nectar account today, & it shows 3 transactions that were made in Argos yesterday - the 1,000 points I redeemed as 'Argos in-store redemption' & the other 2 x 1,000 points as 'Argos Real Time Reward'??

I'm waiting to hear back from Nectar who are investigating further.
