Is 4.3 inches big enough? Video

Options
I want to get a portable video player. This will be used for watching films & TV programs, but also to watch some video-based training videos (ones where you see presentations or virtual whiteboards whilst an instructor talks).

Is 4.3" going to be big enough for that?

The fact you're asking suggests to me that you're afraid it won't be.

I'd join you in that fear. It's only around smartphone size and although they are ok for youtube clips and the like I don't think you'd want to spend long periods concentrating on a screen that small.

    Why so small?

Something that I can slip in my jacket pocket and watch on my commute to work. Yeah I think I could get away with watching Family Guy on it, but any detailed stuff wouldn't come out. Although I did used to watch 24 on a 1.8" screen on my mp3 player (wasn't very good though :D)

how much are you looking at spending?

something like the advent amico might be a good bet - although there still arent really any reviews around about it, although a 7 inch screen at £130 running driod 2.1 so should be alright watching some vid's on, probably not great for other things but then again if you are buying it just to watch vids on then all the other bits would be a bonus i guess
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

Yeah I was thinking of that - or some of the other cheaper Chinese tablets. I only need it for videos but it's difficult to find something that just does those nowadays. I've already got 2 laptops and a smartphone.
