1. Open to residents of the UK, Republic of Ireland, CI & IoM aged 16 or over except anyone professionally involved with the project.

2. To nominate your preferred area, visit https://www.velvettissue.com, and complete the online nomination form.

3. Nominations can only be submitted via the internet.

4. Please take care when entering your selected area as there is only one nomination per person. If a participant's computer is believed to be being used to circumvent this term by, for example, the use of 'script' or 'brute force', that person's nominations will be excluded from consideration.

5. All nominations must be received by midnight on 31 August 2010.

6. The Promoter will contribute up to £20,000 towards a tree plating activity in the winning location. The promoter will plant the trees through their appointed charity partner, Trees for Cities.

7. The winning area will be based on the numbers of nominations received for each area, with postcodes being combined as a necessary to determine an area for which the Trees for Cities experts assess that a scheme is feasible and appropriate. This will take into account access, places of interest, and agreements with local authorities, amongst other criteria.

8. The type of tree planting project will be determined by Trees for Cities based on the requirements for each area.

9. Trees for Cities decision on the area and tree planting project is final. In the event of unforeseen circumstances the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the winning location for an alternative winning location selected in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. No correspondence will be entered into.

10. Trees for Cities will contact the local council within the winning area to obtain their permission to plant trees within the winning area. All tree planting projects will be subject to the permission of anyone with an interest in the land where the winning location is situated. If we cannot obtain the permission to plant trees within the agreed area, an alternative reserve area will be selected on the basis of the number of nominations received.

11. The details of the winning area and tree planting project will be made available on https://www.velvettissue.com after 31 October 2010.

12. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions. Any amendments will be listed at the top of this page.

3. No purchase necessary. The winner will be drawn at random under independent supervision from all correct online entries received by the closing date of 24.12.10.

4. Only one entry is allowed per person. If a participant’s computer is believed to be being used to circumvent this term by, for example, the use of ’script’ or ’brute force’, that person’s entry will be disqualified and the person will also be banned from any future participation in similar activities by the promoter.

5. The promoter accepts no responsibility for entries lost or delayed in transmission.

7. There will be only one winner of this promotion.

8. The winner will receive an overnight break at the K West Hotel and Spa, Richmond Way, London, W14 0AX for two people, including full access to the spa facilities, a one-hour spa treatment and a full English breakfast.

9. Additionally we will award you with £100 towards travel per person to set you on your way.

10. The vouchers are valid for twelve months and are subject to there being availability at the hotel on the requested dates.

11. The winner will be notified by email within two weeks of the closing date. If no reply is received within 28 days, the promoter reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement and award the prize to a reserve drawn at the same time as the original.

12. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
