    OP origianlly had a 25 yr old LHD convertible, not really a car you want to teach you child to drive in. So they get rid and buy a car more suitable with a "view" to adding child later.

    Tescos own guide u/w guides state that declining a quote is the last resort and that all fronting questions should be asked and checked,there is also a mention of adding drivers and if suspected fronting then the policy should be just stopped for the next renewal to check.
    I just think they have got through to an over zealous consultant.
