I chose some slabs at a local builders which i thought were some sort of stone, when they were priced up i was told they were slate hence the expensive price over £1000 so asked what price were the one that were stone i was told still the same price.Although at the time we insisted that they are were not slate as they are cut differently he still insisted they were slate .
So we bought them as they were the same price.
Two people have said they are not slate and stone are always less expensive than slate.
So what do i do? has anyone had experience of quotes we paid approx £36 sqm.
They have not been laid yet.

Slate is a type of stone, it can be cleaved or swan. then there are many more types of stone suitable for paving.
