Door Lock On HMO Property

Does anyone know if the locks to the rooms in an HMO property all need to have different locks or if it would invalidate the insurance if one key can open all of these?

Whose insurance? The landlord's? The tenants'?

Tenants' insurances are likely to exclude loss or damage caused by other tenants, or by people allowed into the house by other tenants.

I assume the entrance to the property itself has a lock?

In which case surely the purpose of the individual door locks is to preserve privacy/security of each tenant from the others???? So not much point if the keys are interchangeable.

Sigh! Any Landlord or agent or tenant who wanted the same key to open all rooms in a HMO would be barking (IMHO). Others may hold differing views.
