Pink Light?

I have an Acer Aspire laptop. The power light normally glows blue when its switched on with an adjacent blue line indicating its connected to the mains power supply.
The circular power light keeps changing to pink (or orange), sometimes when the mains supply indicator remains blue but sometimes that light goes off. What does this mean?

Maybe bettery broken or its telling you its fully charged0

It's gone into Christmas tree lights mode. Should go back to normal by 6th Jan at the latest - otherwise it's bad luck.0
