Nationwide Travel Insurance

Options
I have a flexi account with Nationwide, and so qualify for their free travel insurance. I will be travlling with my daughters (12 and 17), and have ben quoted £30 to cover them. Is this a good deal?

I can't seem to get a quote for them alone through the insurance comparison sites - not sure if it is their age

I suggest you send a message online to Nationwide and ask them to confirm if their travel insurance covers kids travelling with you.

Try direct-travel who do let you get a quote for children.

    Thanks Quentin I will.
I should have made clear in my original post that Nationwide have confirmed that their insurance only covers me, unless I pay the £30 upgrade (although that is apparently for a year)

Just an update - direct travel will only cover on the basis of a family policy, which at £33.80 is slightly more expensive than adding onto the Nationwide freebie

If you want a quote for just children, then direct will give you one for a single trip, (though if you want a family policy, then children travel free)

Nationwide's so-called 'free travel insurance' is a poor substitute for the free overseas cash withdrawals previously available to Flexaccount holders.
Basically it doesn't apply if you have kids or want to go outside of Europe.
Thanks, Nationwide, but you're really not offering us very much at all!
