Plastering on Celcon Blocks

Hi, We have just had an extension built and I am looking for a Plasterer.

The Plastering will be done on 100mm Celcon Blocks and was wondering what is the usual Sand and Cement or Hardwall ?

I have had a couple of quotes in already, one £650 and one £950. £950 was for the sand and cement. Both plasterers are advising different things, one hardwall and one sand and cement - so I dont know which way to go...

Also, is there a general rule of thumb for Plasterig work ? ie price per sq M ? I live in NW London, Pinner - jus nside the M25.

The general rule of thumb price per mtr usually only applies to site work and large areas available. Otherwise its day rate. I would just question a £300 difference between hardwall & sand/cement. If they are large areas hardwall can workout dearer @ £6 a bag to complete than sand/cement.

Unless you price every job at 100m2.
