renault immobiliser bypass?
Hi, it all started yesterday. Can't stop engine immobiliser from flashing so car won't start.
Have been reading through lots of forums, found the Renault help good , but have followed all the instruction and no good . I'm still stuck with a car that won't start.
It looks like I'm going to have to get professional help but as I live in the middle of nowhere I really don't want to have to find a Renault garage as they will charge me a fortune just to collect my car never mind actually fix the problem or make me purchase a new keyfob. Besides how long they will take as I can't afford to be without my car , for work.
Can anyone tell me is it possible that my local garage will be able to bypass the immobiliser?
Please any clues that won't cost me too much.

Quite unlikely, But you dont mention what car and what the exact problem is.
My mondeo had a dodgy key which started if it felt like it, Faulty chip inside the key, Luckily it had 2 keys to i bought a blank off ebay for under £10 and after several goes managed to program the new key.
Depends which system you have though. How many keys do you have?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
