The whole idea of this is to keep borrowing and repaying on time, building a reputation as good borrower so I can get a loan if I ever needed one, or eventually a mortgage.
This time next year i want my spending on cashback creditcards only, I also want to take advantage of storecards introductory discounts, which I am also currently turned down for. (then cut up into lots of bits!)
Bear in mind that if you apply for a CC and it gets turned down, then apply for another one, they could see the fact that you were turned down for the first one and count that against you.
Basically the more times you apply (and get refused) in a short space of time, the worse it is for your attractiveness to a credit supplier.0 -
Erm - they can't see "that you were turned down for the first one" - merely that a search was made for credit. The only potential thing available on the credit report for them to 'look at,' as it were, is the fact that there would be no line of credit recorded which would match the search (which would also apply if you did get the credit but the company didn't tell the CRA.) There isn't a "CREDIT CARD DECLINED," or similar, entry on your reporteyesy wrote:Bear in mind that if you apply for a CC and it gets turned down, then apply for another one, they could see the fact that you were turned down for the first one and count that against you.
It is this that potential creditors look at.Basically the more times you apply (and get refused) in a short space of time, the worse it is for your attractiveness to a credit supplier.Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0 -
Just new to this site and i have a question, How long does it take to be given an answer if you are going to get this card or get refused !!!!!0

Hi
I would not waste your time writing aletter, they will give you a standard responce. They are not going to take the time to give you an individual responce.
I understand your sentiment but at the end of the day, they are not obliged to give you a card, just shrug your shoulders and try somewhere else0 -

This thread is 18 months old, so it's a bit late to advise the O/P not to write a letter!
For anyone in a similar situation to the O/P, it is definitely not a waste of time writing a letter.
I have been turned down for a credit card in the past (capital one IIRC); I wrote to the provided "appeals" address and was subsequently accepted.0
