Housing benefit help

Just wondered if anyone could advise me whether it was worth me applying for housing benefit as things are a bit tight for us at the moment, we have a weekly wage of £313 with our rent being £120 and council tax £20 a week
We also get £90 a week tax credits and child benefit for 3 children
Our children range in age of 7, 2 and 4 months if they take that in to account
TIA

What is your local housing allowance for your area? That's the maximum they pay - if your rent is higher, you have to make up the shortfall yourself.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

You can use the LHA direct website to identify the maximum LHA for your household size in your area. The age and sex of the children will determine the size of property you are eligible for under the LHA calculators.
And then input all your earnings and benefits into the Turn2us online benefit calculator and this will identify if you are due any Local Housing Allowance or whether your family's household net income of approx £450 per week (approx £310 after rent and CT) is too high to qualify.
