I'm hoping somebody can advise me on whether it's possible for me to fit a wireless card in my trusty old pc. I've been using a wireless adaptor, but now having problems getting online with it.
I've been wondering for a while if my pc could be fitted with a wireless card & hoped to find out from the HP help site, but no luck there.
I'm not sure what info I need to provide, so will list that thatI think could be relevant from the spec sheet I have.
Communication: V92 modem
10/100BT Network interface
IEEE1394 (Firewire) interface.
Available expansion slots: 2 open PCI, 1 PCI with modem installed, 1 AGP with graphics card installed.
1 IEEE1394 Firewire port
Serial RS-232C port/DB9 connector
Parallel port.
I've probably listed unnecessary stuff, but rather give too much info than not enough. If you can advise what kind of wireless card I need to buy, if possible to install one, I'd be really grateful. I've seen some listed on Ebay as PCI cards, but didn't want to risk getting one til I got some advice.
Also, would it be easy to install? I've upgraded memory, so not afraid to open pc & try to do easy stuff myself.

The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

yes, just slots into the pci slot, install driver and connect, however it may not improve your connection, depends what the problem is!!
