Hi, can anyone help - I need to restore my pc to a previous date but don't want to lose a program I have installed. Can I make a back up to CD? If so how do I do it.
Thanks in advance

Make a copy of the set up file and re-install it when you have finished. That's if you need to do that at all.0

If you need any software to burn to DVD. I can recommend some free software called Deepburner
http://www.deepburner.com/?r=products&pr=deepburner
Need a lightweight, powerful and rock-solid burning application that would work with your drive? Small, easy to start, intuitive to use and powerful, featuring all you need- it is DeepBurner.
DeepBurner will be able to solve most of your burning needs: be it burning of Data/Audio/Video CDs, all types of DVDs, composing photo albums and even burning backups. Every operation starts with a simple wizard, thus virtually everyone can use DeepBurner.
There are two versions of DeepBurner - DeepBurner Free and DeepBurner Pro. The first one is intended for home users, while the Pro edition is for advanced and business users.
DeepBurner works on Windows 95/98/2000/NT/ME/XP and is vertually compatible with ANY CD/DVD burner.Looking to raise some money

It depends what the program is.
As Donnie said, you can write the setup file(s) to disk and just run the reinstall. If you don't have the setup files, then you may be able to save the program settings.
With most applications, you can't just dump the program on a disk and expect it to work.
When the proper installation takes place, files are installed in different places, entries are made in the registry and support files are registered in the system. If these do not take place, the program will not run properly if at all.0 -
and you may also need the original registration serial number...which you can find in the registry with a bit of workEx forum ambassador

Depends how the program was installed. If it was from a disc, the setup files will be there. If it was a downloaded program, the setup files would be the original download (something like programnamesetup.exe......or even programename.zip)How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
