Easy to access joint current account.

Hi,
I'm looking for a joint current account. Sounds easy but we don't live together and we want a bank that is near to us both. I thought the post office would be a good idea as there is 2 post office's near to both of us. The trouble is that the PO does not do a current account.
Please can anyone help.
Regards.

Many banks will allow you to transact at the Post Office, although you won't get help and advice beyond paying in cash and cheques etc.

    Linky

Lloyds TSB and Barclays look like the biggest players here.

So once you have the account up and running (perhaps via your chosen bank's web site) then you can do the routine stuff in your local PO.

First Direct? You can use HSBC branches and both of you can have internet access to the account.
  • Hi,
    Thank you for your replies.
I think I will try Lloyds TSB or Barclays. Which bank is best?
I rang First Direct just to find out if they did a joint account and they wanted to take me through security. I tried to explain that I just wanted some info but after about 10 mins the guy (John) hung up on me.
Unfortunately that has put me off FD.
    Regards
