My 13 year old son, has been saving for some time to buy himself a PC he now has £550 and is starting to look around for one, the problem is I don't know anything about them so cannot advise.
He wants one for mainly games and homework, is there anything he should definetly have and anything to avoid. It would be a great help to be given a few pointers.
Many thanks

If he's into gaming, I'd advise getting a one that has a PCI Express graphics card installed and plenty of RAM - 1Gb.0

If he wants games, he'll definitely need a PCI Express x16 slot. For that sort of money, he should be able to get something decent.
One option would be to get something like the Dell E520 (https://www.dell.co.uk) with e-value code D10E07a. You need to put the service down to 1yr Collect & Return (brings the price to £530) and then he'd need to save up for a bit (around £100 but xmas is just round the corner) to get a decent graphics card.
You'd also be able to get some cash-back if you went through quidco.
Hope that helpsSpace for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0 -
