Windows Live Photo Gallery

Options
Windows Live Photo Gallery won't let me save changed photos. Apparently this is a known problem, but there doesn't seem to be any solution.

Is there any other way I can change my photos and save them other than through Windows ?

you just open the photo edit it then close it it will auto save, there is no specific 'save' button.

I'm curious is this 2011 version? because I can say the auto save works aOK on the 2009/2010 version.
  • Have done some more digging, and think the problem may be that all the pictures are being saved in read only files. I am using Windows 7, and it won't let me change the properties, and new folders are also being set up as read only.

I think i need to change the attributes of the folder, but I am struggling to do this. When I type attrib into the start box, something just quickly flashes on the screen then disappears
