  • What is wrong with that? I am still very unwell
  • I would try and get down there and explain what happened. When I had food poisoning immodium plus worked within minutes, maybe give that a try if you are still suffering.

You have 5 days after your sign-on day to attend the JCP and explain your situation. If you don't, the claim is closed. If you attend before the 5 day period, then you can sign a little paper where it says you where I'll and couldn't attend. You're claim will carry on like normal unless stated.

If don't go in after the 5 day window, then the claim is closed and you need to file for a rapid reclaim.

I think that's about it. Hope this helps.

That doesn't preclude having seen a doctor.

You dont need a sick note from the doctor to say your unwell, I had my parents go into job centre for me and pickup a form it got filled in and handed into job centre next day i got my payment as normal.

Not sure why people try to think there above everyone on this site.

Most people who are so ill with food poisoning that they've been unable to leave the house for over a week would have seen a doctor. It's not an unreasonable thing to ask.
