help windows isnt loading after welcome screen

hi ive just updated zone alarm and it asked me to reboot my computer. now when it loads up it only loads my sceen saver on the screen. there are no desktop icons or no system tray. is there anything i can do upon start up to get my comp back to normal again thanks for all your help

Have you tried starting windows in safe mode?
You may be able then to run through a few checks or even rollback to pre update or even remove zonealarm0 -
Boot into safe mode (F8 on startup) and uninstall Zone Alarm.
Reboot as normal.
Reload ZA and try again.0 -
