    £4.99 for the Christmas stockings
  • I've bought most of mine for family members for under £5 in sales :o

a dressing gown from £35 to £2 from per una at m&s for my sl and I've also got here a few bits from asos, which came to an extra £3 using the £10 off code.

I got quite a few things in the M&S sale, all for £2.

If I had to buy normal priced items, I would make up hampers or I would make things... this site is full of brilliant things to make :)

I always keep an eye out through the year for bargins :o It spreads the cost and it is fun too!

I had a similar time on the Debenhams website in September bargains galore :rotfl: well done

Last year my Auntie and Granny got nice family photos in frames - frames were from Wilkos who have a good range at good prices!

This year am trying to make something a bit like this - http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/bombus/product/personalised-nine-heart-map - for my Dad, probably with letters rather than heart shapes. Think I can make it for slightly less than the £165 advertised!!

The crafting for christmas thread is full of fab ideas!

How random! I'd spotted the single heart one the other week and was going to make one for my Nan! Trouble is, I can't find a good deep frame anywhere. Have you had any luck?

We had a similar situation about 12 years ago, when we could only afford £5 average. I don't remember everything we got but what I do

mum -book on dolls houses (bought in a discount book shop)

dad- liquorice allsorts in the liquorice man container which was a moneybox and dad still has to this day - cos we had spent over £x we could have a dvd for £2.99 which went to neice.

sis & bil - bought a beanbag with disney material on it from a car-boot. This material plus 2 boards of wood was then made into 2 laptrays.
  • The new radow shower smoothies are on offer in superdrug at 2 for £3 so I have got some and wrapped then with tissue paper in a box, looks very good and is really cheap.

killielila-For the 14 year old I would say buy a linx set, its under £4 in tesco.
This year I got most adults presents in the boots 75% off sale in January (all for under a fiver)
and for the kids I went to the sainsburys 50% off all toys.
The only person I need to buy for is my boyfriend, as I wasn't expecting to have one at xmas so didn't budget for it :rotfl:

I have had to put my foot down with friends and ask them nicely not to buy anything for my son as I cant afford to buy anything back for their kids, yes I know its 'only' a fiver but it all adds up!

:rotfl: at the struggling to think for Bf i have 1 this year for 1st time in 10 years another strange male creature to buy for lol
finances disaster but baby-stepping back to security:
