Private Hire Taxi Drivers

OK another rant:

First let me say this is aimed at most and not ALL private hire taxi drivers.

Now my rant is they have money on their mind because they break all of the rules of the road to get to their destination, most don't indicate, most go over the speed limit, most hug your bumper when you are keeping to the limit, most never give way.
They seem to think they have the right of way like an emergency vehicle with blue lights flashing.
When they arrive outside a house that has phoned for one they just honk the horn, I thought they were supposed to knock but I may be wrong.
I've seen them do U-turns on the road in a dangerous manner in front of other road users expecting them to stop to allow them to turn.

They park outside houses sometimes in numbers waiting for a call, often flicking their cigarette buts and other debris out of the window.
I know this because I get lots outside my house everyday, I once went and stood at my gate and one got out and said, "Yeah what's up?" I replied, "Nothing I'm just stood at my gate what is the problem?" He just grunted and got back in his car.

I did read somewhere that they are supposed to wear a seatbelt when they don't have a passenger or when they have finished their shift and going home, I've only ever witnessed about 3 wearing a belt when they had no passengers.

My general rant is though their bad driving.

I can't stand Taxi drivers round here. They all drive like complete kn*bs. When they tailgate me when I'm keeping to the limit I simply just slow down more until they get the message.

Had one honk it's horn outside at 2am once to pick up someone so I threw my apple core out the window at him. It landed on the windscreen.
