Kitty Smokes Cigs online

I ordered 200 cigs from kittysmokes.com for about a tenner, then I got a post office note through the door saying customs had slapped a £43.55 charge on top and they are holding it at the post office for collection. Obviously im not going to collect them, and let them get sent back to the company instead. I thought it was fine to order cigs as long as you keep your orders under 200 cigs for each order?! Also it seems that kittysmokes site has dissapeared all of a sudden. Anyone any advice? Anything I can do? Or have I lost my tenner :( ?

sorry mate think your tenners gone up in smoke so to speak lol
Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.

No matter what these sites say, it's illegal to postally import above 50cigs into the UK without tax and duty payments.

Also many of these sites have dubious backgrounds.

Sorry you lost out, I'm sure some do get through but if you want cut price ciggies travel yourself (3200 limit) or try the local pub
  • And what makes you think the ones 'down the pub' are from less dubious backgrounds? To buy there is to encourage law breaking and you might also get counterfeit cigs which could be even more dangerous to your health.
Down south where, unfortunately, the government does remember us.

There have been one or two posts on here in the past about people having to "unexpectedly" pay duty, etc. when getting cheap cigarettes from web sites. Really not worth all the hassle/expense.

Also, with all the recent publicity about counterfeit ciggies being up to 10 times worse for your health than "normal" ones (is that possible:rolleyes: ), really not advisable to pursue ... however tempting it may sound.

I'm a smoker myself and could easily have been tempted in the past, had it not been for people sharing their experiences on this site.
    Wins since 2009 = £17,600

    MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS

It's OK, your bit about what's in pub bought cigs is quite valid and if it stops somebody from buying them then it was worth it! :)
